After you have enough information about your ancestry, maintaining the same is difficult. You need to sort it down for proper reference. This sorting of the information in the form of a tree is called a Family Tree. It is the representation of our ancestry in the form of a tree/chart. Family Trees are also called as Pedigree Charts.

The main aim of a family tree is to show the connection between different members of a family. A well-charted family tree should include individuals with their names, occupations and places of residence if available. The relation they share, like marriage must name the links connecting different family members.
